Dr. Momena Begum is a Pediatric Hematologist & Oncologist in Dhaka. Her qualification is MBBS, MD (Pediatric Hematology & Oncology), MRCPS (UK), Fellowship in Palliative Care (Kerela, India). She is a Assistant Professor, Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Department at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital. She regularly provides treatment to her patients at Delta Hospital, Mirpur. Practicing hour of Dr. Momena Begum at Delta Hospital, Mirpur is 6pm to 8pm (Saturday, Monday & Wednesday, Closed: Friday). She also taking care of her patients to Labaid cancer Hospital, Green road,Dhaka ( Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday).

I am Dr. Momena Begum : Paediatric Haematologist Oncologist, specialised in all types of Childs Oncological and Hematological (Thalassemia, anemia, Haemophilia, ITP & others) treatment and expert in child palliative care & expert in cancer pain management.
I did MBBS from MAG Osmani medical college, Sylhet and then did MD in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
I also did fellowship in palliative care from Institute of palliative medicine (IPM), Kerala, India in 2020. Also did advance training in child palliative care from tata memorial hospital Mumbai India and MNJ cancer Hospital & research center, Hyderabad, India.
I also completed 3 months advance training in paediatric oncology, haemophilia and in immunophenotyping from south Korea in 2022.
I started my career as medical officer in paediatric department in BSMMU from 2006 and actively working in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology department from 2008 as my wish was I will become a Paediatric Haematologist & Oncologist.
For last 16 years I deal with child suffering from cancer and blood disorder like thalassemia, haemophilia, anemia, ITP and others blood related disorders.
I expert in management of child suffering from severe pain and end of life care.
Currently I am an assistant professor of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), (PG-Hospital) and post-graduate teacher of BSMMU.
As a post-graduate teacher of BSMMU I developed skilled manpower regarding this subject.
I am affiliated in different national and international society such as Bangladesh Pediatric association, Pediatric Hematology & oncology society of Bangladesh, International society of paediatric oncology, international children palliative care network, Asia pacific hospice palliative care, American society of children oncology.
I have published research works in national and international journal. I got best oncology presenter award in Ist NCD congress, organized by icddrb and recently (my 3 scientific papers accepted in SIOP 55th congress in Canada and got award and scholarship).
Previously my scientific papers accepted in different congress in many countries and presented papers in Honkong (2013), Canada (2014), Russia (2016), USA (2017), japan (2018), Kerala India (2020), South Korea (2022), Abu-Dhabi (2023), Canada (2023).
In January 2023 I invited as a speaker in 5th emirates paediatric haematology and oncology congress in Abu Dhabi, UAE & also as a secession chair in 2nd emirates Bone marrow transplant congress in Abu Dhabi, UAE in October 2023 also two article presentation was in SIOP 55th congress in Canada, October 2023 and one of them got award.
